Il programma iPhoto non contiene una funzione base per individuare i duplicati all’interno della proporia libreria.La soluzione si chiama Duplicate Annihilator,un programma che consentirà di eliminare tutti i duplicati presenti nella libreria di iPhoto.Il programma offre molte opzioni e algoritmi di ricerca tramite cui individuare i doppioni: filename, dimensione, proporzioni, dati Exif, data di creazione o importazione; precisione richiesta da chi desidera un alleggerimento della raccolta fotografica senza poi fare qualcosa di cui potrebbe pentirsi.Inoltre, per chi non se la sentisse, una volta individuati i duplicati possono anche solo essere segnalati con parole chiave, per meglio organizzare la raccolta.Duplicate Annihilator è compatibile con Mac OS X 10.3.9, 10.4.x, 10.5.x o 10.6 (Snow Leopard) e richiede iPhoto 5, 6, 7 (iLife’08) o 8 (iLife’09).
